Liquid Returns 3,400 BTC
Around 3,400 BTC has been returned to the Liquid Network federation address following a major security incident. Approximately 4,000 BTC worth about $320 million had previously been withdrawn from the Liquid Federation wallet. The network paused activity after the incident, while exchanges were asked to suspend LBTC deposits and withdrawals. According to The Block, the suspected white-hat hacker returned roughly 85% of the funds after Blockstream patched the affected bridge nodes. Around 598.5 BTC, worth approximately $47.3 million at the time of reporting, remained in the attacker’s wallet.
