Chainlink Launches CCIP 2.0
Chainlink has launched CCIP 2.0, a major upgrade to its cross-chain interoperability infrastructure designed for financial institutions, asset issuers and digital-asset platforms. The new version allows organizations to operate their own Cross-Chain Verifiers, adding independent checks to transactions between blockchains. CCIP 2.0 also introduces configurable settlement speeds and built-in compliance tools supporting KYC, AML, transaction limits and other issuer-defined policies. Chainlink says its infrastructure currently secures more than $84 billion in cross-chain token value, while over $15 billion in assets has migrated to CCIP in recent months. The upgrade could support broader adoption of tokenized assets and make cross-chain transfers more flexible for institutional users.
