BlackRock Backs Bitcoin Security
Leading financial and crypto firms, including BlackRock, Strategy, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets, and ARK Invest, have launched the Bitcoin Security Consortium, committing a combined $15 million over the next three years to strengthen Bitcoin's long-term security. The initiative will fund open-source developers, security researchers, and projects focused on protecting the Bitcoin network, with post-quantum cryptography identified as one of the first research priorities. Consortium members emphasized that the organization will not influence Bitcoin governance or protocol decisions, serving solely as a funding and coordination initiative. Industry analysts view the move as another sign of growing institutional commitment to Bitcoin's long-term resilience and infrastructure.
For cryptocurrency users, stronger security initiatives help reinforce confidence in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Monitor BTC, ETH, USDT, and other digital assets, and exchange cryptocurrencies quickly, securely, and at competitive rates with Xbit.
