Bitcoin Falls Below $83K
Bitcoin fell below $83,000 as higher oil prices and growing geopolitical tensions increased pressure on risk assets. According to CoinDesk, BTC dropped about 1.6% to below $82,800. Brent crude moved above $102 per barrel, while the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 5.31%. Crypto markets also faced heavy pressure after around $550 million in leveraged positions were liquidated, with most of the losses coming from traders betting on higher prices. Ethereum declined about 3%, XRP lost nearly 4%, while SOL and HYPE fell more than 2%. A sustained break below $83,000 could open the way toward $80,000.
